DETAILS

The same double-gathered technique that gives the Waterbury Hurricane its turbulent, water-like quality works quietly at tealight scale too. Overlapping layers of glass catch candlelight and send it back in soft, swirling patterns. Subtle enough to live on a nightstand or windowsill, warm enough to anchor a mantel. Each one is shaped by hand and finishes slightly differently from the last.

CARE GUIDE

Cleaning

  • Clean with a glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
  • Remove wax residue carefully before cleaning.

Candle Safety

  • Extinguish tapers and pillar candles when the flame reaches within 2 inches of the base.
  • Never leave burning candles unattended.

What to Avoid

  • Avoid sudden temperature changes, which can cause fractures.
  • Do not place in direct sunlight; light refraction through glass can be a fire hazard.

    Perfection

    I had purchased the Waterbury tealights a few weeks ago and although beautiful, the inside bases were somewhat convex and so the candles did not sit well, sliding off center. I left a review and was promptly contacted by customer service suggesting that they must be defective because they are meant to have flat bottoms inside. I recently received the replacements, they have flat bottoms and look truly stunning. Thank you to Simon Pearce for these gorgeous works of art and for the excellent customer service. This is how you get repeat customers even when there's a hiccup along the way.
